• Elizabeth, Kenneth and George in the car after they have kidnapped her from the Salish Lodge. She tries to get them to let her go, but they refuse. Although their reasons for this are to keep Elizabeth and Harold from consummating her marriage with Harold, (and because they both still hold a candle for her) - Kenneth convinces Elizabeth that they need her to help cheer George up after his internet gal dumped him.
• When Jenna finds out that Kenneth kidnapped Elizabeth, she is surprised and impressed that her big brother finally took a chance to win back the girl he loves.
• Tess and Colin overhear that Elizabeth is with Kenneth - but Jenna makes them promise to keep it a secret.
• Shari is in Korea. She is trying to “find herself”- we fist see her looking at a want ad to teach English in Korea. She takes the job and proceeds to quiz her Korean students on all things “Cosmo” (horoscopes, types of makeup, etc.) One of her students happens to be a fashion magazine editor, and offers her a job as a model. Shari becomes a huge star.
• Harold propositions Chloe, but she refuses - stating she deserves more than a married man that can’t keep track of his own wife.
• Chloe tells Nathan she turned down a man begging for sex because she deserves more. Nathan is proud of her. Chloe excuses herself to get into something “more comfortable”. While she is dressing, Nathan tells her he’s turning a new leaf too, no sex until he’s connected emotionally. Chloe has to do a quick about-face to save her chance of getting Nathan.
• Tess runs into Nathan at the Costco. It is clear there is chemistry between the two of them. Tess tells Nathan she is in the process of a divorce - and Nathan asks her to the Sonics game.
• George is beginning to show apprehension about kidnapping Elizabeth, but Kenneth convinces him it’s the best thing they’ve ever done. He tells George that if his internet gal could see him now, she’d be drooling at the chance to be with him. Just at that moment, George’s phone goes off. It’s Harold pretending to be George’s “Internet gal.” Elizabeth walks into the scene, finds out that the girl who dumped George is currently IM-ing him, and convinces George to let her pretend to be him so she can talk to this internet gal. An internet cat fight ensues. George grabs his phone back and tells this “girl” never to IM him again. After celebrating, George, Kenneth and Elizabeth get back on the road.
• Chloe tells Jenna she is head over heals in love. Jenna is left wondering how anyone really knows when they’ve met the “right one.” She hears multiple voices in her head, including Adam, saying she has to decide if it’s Adam she wants.
• Kenneth and George are plotting. Kenneth goes back to the car with Elizabeth, and George calls Elizabeth from a pay phone, pretending to be Harold. They have a very loving conversation that results in Elizabeth committing herself more than ever to Harold. We see from Kenneth’s reaction that this was not the original plan.
• Jenna tries to get back together with Adam, but he tells her that he is not ready.
• Harold takes Tess out to a restaurant. Seduced by the food, and the fact that she doesn’t like Kenneth anyway - Tess breaks her promise to Jenna and tells Harold everything she knows about Kenneth and Elizabeth.
• Nathan comes to pick up Tess, and is dismayed to learn that she lives with Colin. Nathan and Colin argue about who stole Jenna from whom while Tess gets ready in the other room- oblivious.
• Jenna decides to go after Adam with everything she’s got. After a number of embarrassing attempts, she finally wins him over at an open-mic where he is singing.
• Colin goes over to Harold’s office. Colin is very upset, and after asking how the investigation is going, he blurts out with the question, “What is up with white men and their infatuation with Asian Women? And why do they fall for it?” This leads to a long discussion about the Asian American male syndrome - insecurity. (Harold is immune to this, because he was not brought up in the American culture – he grew up in Taiwan.) Colin thinks Harold is brilliant. At the end of the conversation he mentions that George was with Kenneth after the wedding - this is just the clue Harold needs to find them.
• Tess and Nathan are hanging out after the Sonics game. They have a discussion about his reasons for being attracted to Asian women. He tells her that when he was growing up, Kenneth, Jenna and Elizabeth were the only kids who accepted him for who he was. Tess says she always liked being the outsider. She and Nathan make a date to hang out again.
• Convinced that George is now happy, Elizabeth asks George and Kenneth if they can go home, so she can get back to Harold and her honeymoon. They panic, Kenneth is about to confess his reasons for kidnapping her, when George bursts out with “Elizabeth, will you marry me?” Kenneth, furious, pulls George aside and tells him he was just about to ask that. George feels bad, had no idea, and offers to step back, but Kenneth tells him it’s too late now. They return to the car.
• Elizabeth asks Kenneth to give her some time alone with George. She tells him she can’t marry him, and they have a discussion about all of the reasons she has for needing to marry someone who is Chinese.
• Harold calls Chloe to get together with him. She needs to ask him his advice on love, so she agrees to meet with him. After they hang up, Nathan calls and asks her to meet up with him. Completely excited, she leaves a message on Harold’s machine canceling their date.
• Harold never gets the message, and shows up at Chloe and Jenna’s apartment. As fate would have it, Jenna and Adam were planning an afternoon tryst. Harold, thinking he is going to Chloe, starts taking off his pants. They both scream when they see each other, and Jenna chases him out with a baseball bat. She goes back to the bedroom, and before Harold can get his pants back on, Adam walks in. He immediately assumes Harold and Jenna are sleeping together and punches Harold in the nose. Jenna tries to explain, but Adam rushes off. Jenna is devastated.
• Chloe comes home later and asks Jenna for a tampon. After checking her calendar, Jenna realizes her own period is late!
• A few hours later Tess, Colin and Harold are in hot pursuit of Kenneth, Elizabeth and George. A car chase ensues, and Kenneth crashes George’s car. Harold rushes up to the car and cradles Elizabeth in his arms. She calls him her “Cyrano.” George and Kenneth are shocked. George quickly IM’s his internet gal, and Harold’s phone goes off. Kenneth and George tell Elizabeth that Harold is an imposter. Then George tells Elizabeth that Kenneth is the real Cyrano. Kenneth is astonished, Elizabeth is confused, Harold is nervous. Trying to sort through everything, Elizabeth asks a question only the real Cyrano would know - “Where have I always wanted to go to so that I could learn something I’ve always wanted to learn?” George answers; “Kenneth, don’t you remember? You told me she always wanted to go to Spain to learn the tango!”
• Harold admits he lied, but says he only did it because he didn’t want to lose Elizabeth. Elizabeth becomes more and more flustered. Finally Kenneth shouts out, “Elizabeth- I love you!”
